On 13 February 2012, Riaan De Witt , a Cape West Coast Klong had the idea to establish a Facebook Group, and the name "WEST COAST JOU LEKKER DING" was born. He founded the group to help him at once, 'soothe' his homesickness to his country after working year in and year out for the SANDF in dark Africa, and he longed for his beloved country and West Coast during his 15 month at a time deployments for the SANDF as a "UN Peacekeeper" those years! Since then the group has continued to grow over the years and now after more than 12 years, the name West Coast Jou Lekker Ding has transformed into a West Coast Online Family of a large diverse majority of brown and white people from the Region. Today our "African West Coast Movement" is on its way to soon host our own "African Braai Festival" in the beautiful Tieties Bay "Cape Columbine Nature Reserve" in 2026. So many people have played a big role over the years in the West Coast Jou Lekker Ding Facebook group, and to mention only certain people's names would do injustice to those who are not named, but there are a handful West Coast patriots who over the years built our name into the "African West Coast Movement" that we are today, and they are in no particular order the 'administrators' of West Coast Jou Lekker Ding, and it gives us great pleasure to have them here Introducing the World! In no particular order, member number 1 on the name list is Sharon "AKA Sunny Sun Sun" De Beer the main admin of our wonderful group of West Coast people on the group WEST COAST YOUR NICE DING! She is followed by the legendary " Ouma Maksie Pretorius " from Brackenfell, Cape Town. Third on our list is none other than the "Belgian Icon" and a very loyal and dedicated Blou Bul supporter, Monica Ceustermans , and she is our group's biggest trouble maker, due to her rugby beliefs which do not enjoy great popularity among our majority Stormers and WP supporters do not. Close on her heels follows the "ubiquitous" Afrikaans "Language General" none other than our own "Pers Langenhoven" named: Jacqueline (Claassen) Robinson .
