Tietiesbaai Cape Columbine Nature Reserve
Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, the westernmost point of the Western Cape, is a 263-hectare coastal reserve near the fishing village of Paternoster. Established in 1973, the reserve is home to the last manually operated lighthouse in South Africa, Castle Rock Lighthouse, which stands 80 metres above sea level and can be seen for 50 kilometres. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, breathtaking sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean, and camping in a truly wild environment.
Cape Columbine Nature Reserve is a protected area known for its beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife. Tietiesbaai is a popular destination for tourists and locals, offering a variety of activities to enjoy, including hiking, swimming, fishing and birdwatching.
